Canon T2i Review

After about a weeks usage, I am loving the Canon T2i so far. With it’s 1080p video and amazing picture quality, it is the perfect entry level DSLR for me.
Just like most other cameras on the market today, the Canon Rebel T2i has scene modes, but the one that really grabs my attention is “Creative Auto.” The mode allows you to change many more settings while still using an automatic mode. I find this much better than the regular scene modes because they only offer basic settings like picture quality and shooting mode (one shot, continuous, etc). While the T2i offers scene modes for beginners, it also offers advanced modes for customizing shutter speed, aperture, and a full manual mode.
As for video, the T2i offers a stunning native 1080p video mode at 30 and 24 fps. If you would like to downsize however, you can select 720p, 480p, or 480p crop mode all at 60 fps. I recommend picking up at least a class 6 memory card if you plan on shooting video, and make sure there is enough storage as HD video takes extremely large file sizes.
The Canon Rebel T2i is powered by a Digic 4 image processor, and a 18 mega pixel CMOS censor. Low light performance is pretty good as it has a maximum ISO of 12800, and daylight performance is simply outstanding.
Overall, I definitely recommend picking up this camera if you are interested in photography and looking for a camera that crosses between entry level and pro level DSLRs. The T2i is simply the best choice if you want to get started in DSLR video, and want to make a long term investment.
